Kayak Chicago Adaptive Adventures
Paddling Program

Passion, motivation and patience.. its the force that propels Adaptive Adventures Kayak Chicago to new heights. It comes from our many hands-on volunteers who contribute countless hours to help individuals with special needs achieve their personal best.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to interact with people of all abilities and take advantage of the many activities we offer. You will also have the chance to be involved in our special events and fundraisers throughout the year. Whether it is assisting a participant in an outdoor activity, helping in the office or spearheading a special event, we encourage you to become involved in the areas that most interest you.

Adaptive Adventures programs are fun for both the participants and the volunteers. It is hard not to have fun while kayaking or volunteering in any of the other programs. Many volunteers have been heard saying, "I get just as much out of the program as the participant does." Most volunteers are not sure what to expect when they first get involved, but end up enjoying it so much they come back year after year.
